What is Aari Work?
Aari work is a traditional South Indian embroidery technique done using a special hooked needle called an "Aari." The hook pulls thread from below the fabric to create stunning chain-stitch patterns — flowers, paisleys, vines, and geometric designs — all crafted by hand.
At Spark Fashion Boutique, our skilled artisans have mastered both traditional and contemporary Aari styles. We work on blouses, dupattas, lehengas, saree borders, and even cushion covers — on your fabric or ours.

How We Do Aari Work
Every piece goes through a careful, quality-checked process.
Share your design idea — reference image, sketch, or description. We finalise the pattern together.
The design is traced or chalked onto your fabric using professional marking tools.
The fabric is mounted on a wooden frame (khataan) to keep it taut and consistent during embroidery.
Our artisan carefully embroiders each stitch by hand using the Aari hook with your chosen thread colors.
The finished piece is checked, cleaned and handed back to you with care.
